Join us Saturday during kit pickup at Knead a Brake in Kensington for a fun, social 5K shakeout run to kick off your Trilobster weekend.
Whether you’re racing, supporting, or just in town for the vibes, everyone’s welcome. This is an easy-paced, no-pressure run designed to loosen the legs, calm the nerves, and connect with fellow athletes.
We’ll roll out together, keep it relaxed, and finish back at the shop for great coffee, fresh baking, and plenty of pre-race energy.
No timing, no stress—just good people and a great way to start the weekend. Heading out at 12 pm​

LOCATION AND PARKING
The TriLobster Festival transition will be located on the waterfront across the street from the Loyalist Hotel. 195 Heather Moyse Dr. Summerside, PE C1N 5R1.
There will be designated athlete parking found across the street from the transition area in the Reactive Health parking area, 243 Heather Moyse Dr. Summerside PE, C1N 5R1 and at R&S Frenchy’s, 255 Heather Moyse Drive, PE C1N 5P1.
ROAD CLOSURES
-
Road from Heather Moyse Dr. and Water St. to just before the Ultramar (2km mark) will be closed for the Sprint Draft legal from 7:00 am-9:30 am
-
Road from Heather Moyse Dr. and Water St. to Water St. and First St. will be closed from 6:00 am until 1:30 pm (1 km section of course)

All other sections of the course are open to traffic

World Qualifier Information
World Qualifier (WQ) spots are awarded to athletes who finish within the available number of qualification spots. Unclaimed spots will be rolled down to athletes who have completed a Triathlon Canada EOI (Expression of Interest).
Athletes who earn these spots are eligible to compete in the 2027 Multisport World Championships in Edmonton, Alberta (July 16–25, 2027) or the 2027 Triathlon World Championships in Hamburg, Germany (September 8–12, 2027).

Eligibility of Bicycles
Bike Rules​
The rules that apply to bikes, wheels, helmets, handlebars, etc., are different for draft legal and non-drafting races.
For non-drafting races, refer to section 5.2 of the Triathlon PEI 2025 Provincial Competition Rules for Age Group and U19 Non-Drafting Events.
For draft legal races, refer to the World Triathlon 2025 Competition Rules, Section 5.2.

SUMMARY OF EQUIPMENT GUIDELINES
In general, in a non-drafting race, the bike can have aero bars and disc wheels (if the conditions allow).
In a draft legal race, the bike must have traditional drop bars and wheels with a minimum of 12 spokes. Disc wheels, aero bars, clip-on aero bars, or short aero bars are forbidden.

Non-traditional or unusual bikes or equipment will not be allowed without prior permission from the Technical Delegate or Head Referee of the race.
