Safe Sport

Sport organizations in PEI are committed to creating a sport environment that is accessible, inclusive, respects their participants' personal goals and is free from all forms of maltreatment.

As part of Triathlon PEI’s commitment to Safe Sport, our staff and boardwill complete Commit to Kids training.

As of 1 April 2025, the Canadian Safe Sport Program (CSSP) is the new place to report concerns of maltreatment involving participants in national, federally funded sport organizations. The program supports everyone’s right to train and compete in safe, respectful, and supportive environments.

The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) administers the program independently, which involves enforcing the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS) through the CSSP Rules. Triathlon PEI accepts all language contained in the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS).

Athletes not covered by the CSSP (age group and youth) who have an issue with Triathlon PEI directors, staff, coaches or volunteers should report to Sport PEI (form) or Triathlon Canada.
