SCHEDULE

Schedule is Subject to Change. Your Athlete’s Guide will be sent out a week prior to race day with detailed information and scheduling. Athletes are responsible for checking times for their events.

Friday, August 14th​

  • 9:00 am until 5:00 pm race packet pickup at Knead a Brake in Kensington  

 

Saturday, August 15th

  • 9:00 am until 2:00 pm race packet pickup  at Knead a Brake in Kensington

  • 12:00 pm Knead a 5K Brake Fun Run:​ Join us Saturday during kit pickup at Knead a Brake in Kensington for a fun, social 5K shakeout run to kick off your Trilobster weekend. Whether you’re racing, supporting, or just in town for the vibes, everyone’s welcome. This is an easy-paced, no-pressure run designed to loosen the legs, calm the nerves, and connect with fellow athletes. We’ll roll out together, keep it relaxed, and finish back at the shop for great coffee, fresh baking, and plenty of pre-race energy. No timing, no stress—just good people and a great way to start the weekend. Heading out at 12 pm​

  • 12:00 pm at Victoria-by-the-Sea Swim for the South Shore. This event is held by the South Shore Watershed Association (SSWA), a registered charity with a mandate to protect and enhance the environmental health of five watersheds on the south shore of Prince Edward Island. Learn more 

  • 3:00 pm until 3:45 pm race packet pickup Long Course events only at the Loyalist Country Inn 

  • ​4:00 pm until 4:45 pm  Mandatory Long Course Triathlon and Aquabike safety briefing at the Loyalist Country Inn (195 Heath

  • 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm race packet pickup for all groups at the Loyalist Country Inn

Sunday, August 16th​

      Body Marking and timing chip pick up opens at 5:00 am

      Race briefings will be held 15 minutes prior to your race start time

  • 5:00 am Transition opens for Long Course Triathlon/Aquabike

  • 6:00 am Transition opens for all events and closes at 10:00 am

  • 6:15 am Race start: Long Course Triathlon/Aquabike

  • 7:30 am Race start: Sprint Draft Legal Triathlon/Sprint Draft Legal Duathlon

  • 8:45 am Race start: Standard Triathlon/Duathlon/Aquabike/Relay

  • 10:00 am Race start: Sprint Non-Draft Triathlon/Non Draft Duathlon, and Aquathlon

  • 11:00 am Race start: Super Sprint Triathlon/Super Sprint Duathlon â€‹

Please note :

You must have picked up your race packet prior to entering Transition and your bike must be set up in transition at least 1 hour before your scheduled race start. ​

LOCATION AND PARKING

The TriLobster Festival transition will be located on the waterfront across the street from the Loyalist Hotel. 195 Heather Moyse Dr.  Summerside, PE C1N 5R1.

 

There will be designated athlete parking found across the street from the transition area:

  • Reactive Health parking area, 243 Heather Moyse Dr. Summerside PE, C1N 5R1

  • R&S Frenchy’s, 255 Heather Moyse Drive, PE C1N 5P1.

  • Holland College Summerside Waterfront Campus, 98 Water St, Summerside, PE C1N 4K2

ROAD CLOSURES

  • Road from Heather Moyse Dr. and Water St. to just before the Ultramar (2km mark) will be closed for the Sprint Draft legal from 7:00 am-9:30 am

  • Road from Heather Moyse Dr. and Water St. to Water St. and First St. will be closed from 6:00 am until 1:30 pm (1 km section of course)

  • All other sections of the course are open to traffic

WASHROOMS

  • Washrooms are available at the Loyalist Hotel across the street from the transition area

  • Porta-potty in the east end of the transition area

  • ​Porta-potty located on the run course (344 Water St.)

  • Outhouse located on the run course just before the 2.5km turnaround 

  • Porta-potty at the 10km mark of the bike course

The 2025/2026 Provincial Competition Rules will be in effect.  If you have any questions about the rules please contact us.

World Qualifier Information

World Qualifier (WQ) spots are awarded to athletes who finish within the available number of qualification spots. Unclaimed spots will be rolled down to athletes who have completed a Triathlon Canada EOI (Expression of Interest). 

 

Athletes who earn these spots are eligible to compete in the 2027 Multisport World Championships in Edmonton, Alberta (July 16–25, 2027) or the 2027 Triathlon World Championships in Hamburg, Germany (September 8–12, 2027).

Eligibility of Bicycles

Bike Rules​

The rules that apply to bikes, wheels, helmets, handlebars, etc., are different for draft legal and non-drafting races.

For non-drafting races, refer to section 5.2 of the Triathlon PEI  2025 Provincial Competition Rules for Age Group and U19 Non-Drafting Events.  

For draft legal races, refer to the World Triathlon 2025 Competition Rules, Section 5.2.

SUMMARY OF EQUIPMENT GUIDELINES

In general, in a non-drafting race, the bike can have aero bars and disc wheels (if the conditions allow).  

In a draft legal race, the bike must have traditional drop bars and wheels with a minimum of 12 spokes.  Disc wheels, aero bars, clip-on aero bars, or short aero bars are forbidden.

Non-traditional or unusual bikes or equipment will not be allowed without prior permission from the Technical Delegate or Head Referee of the race.

The majority of the bike course for all the bike events (except the Sprint Draft Legal Triathlon and Duathlon) takes place on open road. You are responsible for your safety.

TriLobster Multisport Festival Deferral Policy

We understand that injuries and unexpected medical situations can prevent athletes from participating. To balance fairness to participants with the financial commitments of organizing the event, TriLobster offers the following deferral policy:

  • Deferrals are available only for verified medical reasons, including injury or illness that prevents participation.

  • A doctor’s note or medical documentation is required.

  • Requests must be submitted by email no later than seven (7) days before race day.

  • Approved deferrals may be transferred to the following year’s TriLobster Multisport Festival only.

  • Deferrals are non-transferable to another person and cannot be transferred beyond one year.

  • A $25 administration fee will apply when registering for the deferred event.

  • Registration fees are non-refundable.

  • The Race Director reserves the right to consider exceptional circumstances not specifically covered by this policy
